Murphy Daley has been writing since she was a child. Born in Anchorage, Alaska, she moved to California in her early 20s to finish college.<\/p>\n

Never imagining that her ordinary life would be interesting to others, she submitted an essay to a writing contest in her much-delayed senior year. She won the humor and satire prize, and discovered her voice meant something to a bigger group than she knew. Her stories drawn from life have entertained many since that time, growing her circle of fans.<\/p>\n

She lives with her family in the foothills of Los Angeles, alternating between chasing an aging but enthusiastic Airedale, her fleet and tireless young daughter and the next perfect metaphor.<\/p>\n
