It was raining, and I was getting tired now. <\/span>I told Chris as much. He was tired too.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cHow about we go find a Denny\u2019s and have some breakfast and sit for a while?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThat sounds good!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

At about 3:30 am, we pull into a very crowded parking lot at the Dimond Denny\u2019s.<\/span><\/p>\n

It was<\/em> crowded in there. We sat to wait for a table. There were empty tables, so I figured it wouldn\u2019t be too long. I could indulge in some people watching.<\/span><\/p>\n

The people seemed to be mostly drunk.<\/span><\/p>\n

Two girls and a guy were trying to leave. The guy said \u201cWe\u2019re driving you home.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Girl says \u201cNo! No.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Other girl says, \u201cNo really, it\u2019s not a problem\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Girl says \u201cThat\u2019s ridiculous! You\u2026You don\u2019t even smoke!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Guy shuffles them both out, telling the one, \u201cLet\u2019s go. She\u2019s out of it.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

They were gone, and someone at the bar yells out \u201cCAN WE PLACE OUR ORDER ALREADY? WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO GET SOME FOOD?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Chris looked at me. \u201cThey look kind of swamped.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

I was looking a new group that had come up to settle the bill. <\/span><\/p>\n

Everyone else was Alaska-style scruffy, but these three girls had very short skirts on and all were wearing high high high patent leather heels. These three looked like they would even fit in back in L.A.<\/span><\/p>\n
