I don’t share my poetry on this blog. I figure maybe I should. I wrote this one today. Enjoy!<\/p>\n

This one doesn’t count
\nBecause who’s counting anyway?
\nIt’s for you
\nAll of you<\/p>\n

But I’m lying
\nSomeone is counting
\nOne Two
\nTick Tock
\nFast Handing
\nAround the clock<\/p>\n

I’m getting very sleepy. Things are feeling freaky
\nRoman numerals with Egyptian eyes
\nSphinx eyes turning me to unkinetic stone
\nUnmotioned by the unbroken hand sweep
\nThe caged bird in my chest batters the cage
\nFLEE! MOVE
\nNo amount of panic is enough
\nThe soft black feathers scatter and flutter from the violence
\nThe hopeful bird croaks “Evermore!
\nMore More MORE.” Battle this cage
\nWith every small mustered strength
\nOne nudge must one day be enough
\nTo jostle and break the gaze<\/p>\n

I am not stone. The eyes tell lies
\nMotion is my birthright.
\nAction Production
\nDistance before and behind
\nEach footfall might be
\nWell-placed and unstumbled
\nUnbungled
\nDisturb the road dust
\nThe coal dust
\nMighty step of weight and substance
\nPressuring the stuff of the world
\nReform
\nRealign with beauty and order
\nMy steps to leave diamonds underfoot<\/p>\n

The road untraveled stretches
\nI can’t see it
\nSnowshoes and machetes plow the ground
\nFollow stars and leaning shadows
\nThe sun wheels overhead<\/p>\n

Let the path find me
\nIt’s for me and for you
