I shake my head and think of how limited my choices were at\nthat age. All I did when I was a kid was\nread through the library.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Hmm. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Here lately I\u2019m letting that count. These hundreds of books\nI\u2019ve consumed are even more fun than when I was in single digits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I\u2019ve leaned into my love of reading in the last couple\nyears. I\u2019ve read more than a hundred books each year for the last three years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n When I allowed myself to feel the reality that I had written\na book myself\u2014not just one but four! \u2014I engaged with books as an equal. They\nare colleagues, not experts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Writing a book is a particular and rare thing. This weekly\nwonder is writing. It has a different structure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n There are some bits that I write that I are not weekly\nwonder pieces. This platform has it\u2019s own shape and voice that I\u2019ve created\nwith you all. I want to pull back the\ncurtain to share some of the choices I have made as I\u2019ve built this essay over\nthe last 10+ years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The goal is to serve the action immediately. Funny, my\naction is seldom action. The Weekly wonder has ideas, thoughts, perspectives or\nwonderings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n It\u2019s in the title.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Fuzzy cloudy soft-edged ideas can move in and out of focus.\nI slash every word and phrase to get to the hard nugget, a useful idea to be\ncarried around and used. Every weekly wonder leave piles of clauses cut from my\nsentences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n You <\/em>can\u2019t be in\nthe text. I don\u2019t know what you are\nthinking. We <\/em>don\u2019t do anything,\nunless I can prove it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I\u2019m the only one I can about. I have to admit what I am\nthinking, feeling, doing as my own. I have had many of you (yes, you, readers)\nwrite to me over the years to tell me I am not alone. I\u2019m grateful to you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The art of this feeds me.
