You know how Marty McFly in can’t stand to be called Chicken?
Nobody tells me I can’t do something.
We could go. I’d find a way to get myself together. I got better shoes. I learned to eat more protein.
“We’ll just have to take it slow. This will not be a trip where we go hiking. And maybe, you could go out without me if I need to rest in the hotel room. We’ll do it, baby!”
We packed carefully, so that we wouldn’t have to carry much.
I was just a little worried about not being able to sleep that first night.
But we had a layover in Seattle. Seattle has very good coffee. Woo Hoo!
Dear, dear Lisa,
Again, I am sitting here being amazed at how you use humor so well. I just laughed and laughed and laughed at this entry. I am sick and I am tired and I am fasting for the blood work tomorrow, but I laughed and laughed because it was funny. Thank you for that moment. I am also unbelievably proud of you for being such a trooper and not retreating from such a big challenge. Chris sounds like a good advice source for judging when you may be too tired. Use his wisdom to help gauge and anticipate what you can do. Hugs and kisses, Mom
